Some salient research findings:


A. Evaluation of Tuberose varieties:


Worked as one of the leading Scientists in evaluating the varieties of tuberose, namely Shringer, prajwal, Suhasini and Baibhab and gerbera variety i.e. Red monarch and Arka Nirontara and Phule Rajani The varieties were recommended for Assam and published in the Package of Practices for Horticultural Crops of Assam, during 2005 & Red monarch and Arka Nirontara and Phule Rajani during 2015, published jointly by Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat and Directorate of Horticulture & Food processing, GoA.


B. Evaluation of lentil varieties


Lentil varieties Moitree and KLS-218 have successfully been evaluated and demonstrated in different districts of Assam and necessary initiatives are being taken for recommendation for Assam under rice based cropping system. Results were included in the Annual Report of KVK, Kamrup.


C. Evaluation of turmeric variety:


Worked as Principal Investigator to evaluate the performance of Megha Turmeric-1 since 2009. Promoted 10 turmeric villages leading to entrepreneurship development and quality planting material generation.
