  • First ever recommendation for application of boron on toria in Upper Brahmaputra Valley Zone of Assam.
  • First ever productivity potential assessment of rice and mustard in Brahmaputra Valley of Assam.
  • First ever compilation and publication of thesis abstracts in the University in 1994.
  • First ever compilation and publication of the research on soils of Assam in 2012.
  • Reviewer for Agricultural Water Management, a journal with a NAAS rating of 8.7.
