NCC Air Cadets from Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, participated in a river rafting camp at Umiam Lake, Meghalaya, in November 2025. The camp provided the cadets with an opportunity to experience adventure-based training while developing essential qualities such as teamwork, discipline, leadership and self-confidence. Set against the scenic surroundings of Umiam Lake, the programme encouraged the cadets to embrace challenging outdoor activities, strengthen their spirit of camaraderie and enhance their resilience. Such adventure camps form an important part of NCC training by fostering courage, physical endurance and a sense of responsibility among young cadets, while inspiring them to uphold the ideals of discipline, service and national unity.
