The NSS Cell of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, celebrated NSS Day 2026 at the University campus with great enthusiasm and spirit. The programme was graced by Shri Damodar Barman, Registrar, AAU, Jorhat; Dr. Anup Kumar Das, Director of Post Graduate Studies; Dr. Binoy Kumar Medhi, Director of Students’ Welfare; and Dr. Sundar Barman, RAWEP Coordinator, AAU, Jorhat. The programme was attended by NSS POs Dr. Sangita Borah, Dr. Sampreeti Gogoi, Dr. Rituraj Baruah, Dr. Apurba Das, and Dr. Tabaruk Hussain, along with a large number of NSS volunteers from the College of Agriculture, College of Community Science, and College of Sericulture. The NSS volunteers actively participated in the celebration and presented a vibrant array of colourful cultural performances, adding enthusiasm and warmth to the occasion. The programme reflected the spirit of NSS and highlighted the commitment of the volunteers towards community service, social responsibility, and nation building.
