Achivements
  • Extension:
    1. Conducted 56 nos. of Training programmes for Farmers, Farm women, Rural youths and Extension Functionaries as Course Director.
    2. A total of 11 (eleven) and 20 (twenty) nos. of OFTs and FLDs respectively have been conducted in farmers field for technology dissemination and showcasing.
    3. Organized and participated in field days (16 nos.), exposure visits(4 nos.), TV programmes (2 nos.) at DDK, Guwahati, delivered Radio talks (4 nos.) at AIR, Guwahati and involved in organizing 7 nos. of Exhibitions and 2 Horticultural shows.
    4. Involved in preparation of 3 nos. of Extension training manuals and published 3 extension bulletins.
    5. Involved in conducting 10 nos. of collaborative programmes, sponsored by AICRP on Water Management( 1 demonstration & 1 training) Chief Minister's EGM (2 nos. of One month long Training on Skill Development of Mali as course Coordinator), Coconut Development Board (3 nos. of 6ix days long skill development trainings), Department of Agriculture, GoA (Fifteen nos. of 2 days long Training on Oil Palm Cultivation) and Missing Autonomus Cuncil, Gogamukh, GoA (One month Skill development training to RY on Raising and Management of Commercial Nursery).
    6. Successfully implemented the Technology Showcasing programme on Lantil in Farmers' field during 2011-2012 as Lead Scientist.
    7. Successfully implemented the AEP programme (Selection of Beneficiaries and Coconut Seedling Distribution) sponsored by Coconut Development Board, Regional office as Lead Scientist
  • Teaching:
    1. Involved as Course Leader in the Course no. Hort-112 & Hort-122
    2. Involved as co-teacher in the Courses FSC-501, FSC-506, FSC-601, FSC-605, Hort(Hort)-212 & FSC(Hort)-312
    3. Involved in preparation of one (1) Practical Manual under the Course no. Hort-112.
    4. Member of Research Advisory Committee of 3 students undergoing PG research.
  • Research:
    1. Successfully concluded the DBT sponsored project on " A value Chain in Jackfruit and its value added products" at KVK, Kamrup as Co-PI.
    2. Member of Research team constituted to conduct MLT on Fertigation in Assam Lemon at KVK, Kamrup.
    3. Acting as the Scientist-in-Charge of the RKVY Project on Collection, conservation and quality evaluation of indigenous fruit crops, since May 2020.
    4. Acting as the Centre-in-Charge of the ICAR-AICRP on Fruits
