Specialised
course on Agri-Business Management (Under consideration to be renamed
as MBA) |
Considering
the demands of the changing scenario of agricultural education in the
country, the university is starting a new course on AGRI-BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
in M.Sc. (Agri) degree programme under the Faculty of Agriculture from
first semester of 2002-03. The programme is formulated with the objective
to impart education and training for managing income generating and developmental
activities of various sub-systems of agriculture, conduct research on
veried problems in order to improve management capabilities.
Candidates having B.Sc. (Agri), B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.E. (Agril. Engineering),
B.Sc. (Dairy Science), B.Sc. (Home Science) of four year duration, B.F.Sc.
or B.Sc. (Forestry) are eligible to apply for the programme. The syllabus
for the programme is designed to train the students in recent areas of
management skills in order to make them competent agri-managers to serve
the agri-business sector. Students will get opportunities for taking case
studies and research problems in their lines of specialisation. |
