Seventh
Annual Convention of Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology
and National Symposium on Veterinary Immunology and Biotechnology in
the new Millenium were held from 2-4 February, 2000. The convention
was attended by several scientists of repute in the fields of Veterinary
Immunology and Biotechnology.
Orientation
programme on Accreditation with special reference to self study, sponsored
by the ICAR was held during November 9-10, 2000 for the VCs and Deans
of Eastern and North East India.
The
Fifth Agricultural Science Congress was organized under the auspices
of National Academy of Agricultural Science (NAAS), New Delhi during
April 4-7, 2001. Around 300 agricultural scientists from all over the
country participated in the congress where 35 lead papers and 250 poster
papers were presented on various issues. Besides, a special lecture
on the theme "A Bio-vision for Indian Agriculture" was delivered
by the renowned scientist, Dr. M. S. Swaminathan on April 5, 2001. The
recommendations of the Congress were drawn in the form of "Guwahati
Declaration". |
