The Assam Agricultural College (AAC), prior to the establishment of the Assam Agricultural University, was headed by the Principal, who was the administrative head of the College. After the establishment of AAU in 1969, the AAC became a constituent College of the University and has since been known as College of Agriculture. The College is now headed by the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture.
