In accordance to its mandates and objectives, KVK, Lakhimpur has been working to satisfy the need of the poor farming community of the district. Since inception, KVK Lakhimpur has conducted a total of 427 training of various kinds till date, through which 13492 trainees were benefited. These trainees include both male and female practicing farmers, rural youths and extension functionaries of SC, ST and general category. Farmers were trained on various disciplines of agriculture including crop production, nutrient management, livestock production and management, fishery, sericulture, home science and allied subjects. Out of total number of farmers trained through KVK, more than 20 per cent farmers were from SC/ST category and about 40 per cent was rural youth. |
