On farm Trial (OFT) |

On Farm Trial is an adaptive research which is conducted on farmers field by farmers with the active support from the scientist or subject matter specialist. The main objective of OFT is to identify existing input or a practice that might help in solving major problem of many farmer in a defined study area. It is generally conducted with a farming system perspective which implies “ seeing things from a farmers view point”. The four basic step of OFT are : - A. Problem diagnosis B. Research design C. Experimentation D. Extrapolation.
