KVK, KARIMGANJ: AT A GLANCE

Krishi Vigyan Kendra for Karimganj District was established by Assam Agricultural University, with the financial assistance from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in the year 2000.

The Regional Agricultural research station, Karimganj had been remanded to undertake the activities of Krishi Vigyan Kendra from November 2000 to cater the training needs of the agrarian society and it had been upgraded as full fledged Krishi Vigyan Kendra from April 2004 with  limited staff, by re-deploying from the existing AAU staff.

From November 2008 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Karimganj has strengthened with new employment in almost  all  necessary disciplines. 

 

FACILITIES AVAILABLE

 

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Karimganj has one well equipped Soil Testing Laboratory which is providing soil test based fertilizer recommendations to the farmers .
