1. On-farm trial to identify the location specificity technology under various farming systems.

2. Frontline demonstrations to its production potentials on the farmers' fields.

3. Training of farmers to update their knowledge and skills.

4. Training of extension personnel to orient them in the frontier areas of technology development.

Activities

1. To organized need based vocational training programmes in agriculture and allied fields for farmers, farmer women, rural youth and school dropouts.

2. To conduct on farm testing in crop production, horticulture, live stock, fisheries, sericulture etc.

3. To conduct Front Line demonstration on major crops of the district, oilseeds and pulses and other enterprises related to agriculture.

4. To organize in service training programme for field level functionaries to up date their knowledge in recent advances of agriculture and allieds.
