Location of KVK, Dhubri: The site is at Jamduar part-II (Gauranga Nagar), Bilasipara in Chapar revenue circle of Bilasipara Sub-division in the district of Dhubri. The area has been renamed as Gauranga Nagar as most of the Govt. Offices are planned to be shifted to this area. The site is in the outskirt of Bilasipara town (5 km away), which is the sub-divisional H.Q. It is situated on the North-side of the N-H 31 A. The site is about 245 Km away from the State capital Guwahati and 50 Km from the district H.Q, Dhubri. Bilasipara is about 120 Km away from proposed KVK for Barpeta at Howly, which in turn is at the same distance from Guwahati on the same route. While coming to Bilasipara either from Jorhat or from Barapani, Shillong, one has to pass through KVK, Nalbari and KVK, Howly. The landform is undulating consisting of mostly tilla land interspersed with plain land. The site is well located in the district and the district H.Q is about 45 Km away from the site. The site is flood free.

Transportation:

1. By Rail: The nearest railway station Fakiragram junction, about 12 Km from the site. On the other hand one can reach the same from Abhayapuri Railway station which is about 192 Km from Guwahati and 57 Km from Bilasipara town.

2. By Bus: One can reach KVK, Dhubri from Guwhati ISBT, through ASTC service and other private bus services that runs till afternoon and at night. Towards West-Bengal one can take the route of Coochbehar-Guwahati.

3. By Air: Nearest Airport for reaching the site is the Borjhar LGBI Airport, Guwhati and then one must take the Bus service to continue ahead.
