The Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level Farm Science Center established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi for rapid transfer of technology to the farmers fields. The operational area of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra is Darrang District which comes under the North Bank Plain Zone. The aim of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra is technology assessment and refinement through demonstration of technology products and dissemination through training of farmers and extension personnel.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Darrang was
established in the year 2007. It is a scheme sponsored by Indian Council of
Agricultural Research (ICAR) and run by Assam Agricultural University (AAU),
