The Directorate of Extension Education, AAU, Khanapara plays an important role to empower the farming community with appropriate technological knowledge and skills through various extension education and training programmes. It has been maintaining liaisons with ICAR Institutes, Department of Animal Husbandry, Fishery, Govt of Assam, KVKs and NGOs working in the field of Animal Husbandry and fishery. The Directorate provides all necessary steps for educating the unemployed youth, entrepreneurs, farmers and women about profitable livestock and fishery farming viz. dairy, poultry piggery, goattery, fishery etc. it also helps in awaring the massess about the latest and recommended scientific practices by publishing various literature like books, bulletin and leaflets in local language.
