Professional Experience:

Teaching:

  1. Developed various courses in farm management, production economics Agricultural econometrics for undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D degree programmes under trimester and semester system of education. Developed courses for MBA (Agri Business) programme
  2. Active role played in developing RAWEP (Manual) and also introducing RAWEP in the B.Sc. (Agri.) programme of AAU
  3. Taught various courses in UG, PG, and Ph.D level. Taught courses on MBA. Acquired 32 years of experience in teaching, research and extension
    Organized a national seminar on Agricultural Marketing for perishable products at AAU during Nov, 1988
  4. Worked as Chair Professor under NABARD sponsored NABARD Chair Scheme Unit (NCS) from 1996 to 2001 at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat
  5. Participated in curricolum development in Upper Primary level education in Assam conducted by NCERT, Guwahati in March 22-24, 1994
  6. Also published paper on curricolum development in Agricultural University System

(a) Supervision and Guidance of Research:

So far 8 Ph.D and 19 M.Sc. (Agri) students completed their theses under my guidance. Several research problems to which guidance was provided were either on Farming Systems, Project analysis, economics of specific enterprises, risk and uncertainty and other related issues on Agricultural Economics. (b) Organization of National Seminar:

Organized one National Seminar on Agricultural Marketing for Perishable Products as Head of the Department and Seminar Secretary during Nov.'1988
